Salisbury, MD. – August 31, 2020 – Delmarva Veteran Builders (DVB), the region’s only commercial construction firm dedicated to bringing employment to U.S. Armed Forces Veterans, announced it has been hired for the renovations at Telewire.

Telewire has been supporting the technologic needs for businesses for over 30 years; ranging from security to VoIP and more. The renovations began in late August at the Telewire location on South Salisbury Boulevard. The exterior renovation includes façade upgrades and a new roof to the existing building. Telewire has occupied this space for the past 8 years.

We have been working with Telewire in the planning of their exterior renovation and cannot be more eager to get started. The renovations will align with upgrades seen throughout the Salisbury Community
— DVB Project Manager, David Diaz-Ortega

David, one of DVB’s Marine Reservists, has been with DVB since 2016.

While it is a solid building, we always knew we wanted to do a facelift that would be noticeable but also in line with the up and coming renewal of the south Salisbury corridor. We love the area and our neighbors and wanted to remain in the area. Telewire chose DVB because we have seen other projects they have been involved with in the area and we were very pleased with what we saw. DVB is invested in our community and worked hard to earn our business. Their business like ours is committed to making a better Salisbury. We are looking forward to the finished product. We couldn’t be more excited about how DVB will transform the new Telewire building.
— Telewire CEO and President, Bryan Murfree.

DELMARVA VETERAN BUILDERS TO LAUNCH NEW CAMPAIGN AND TAGLINE

Tagline and campaign will be launched September 21st, 2020

Salisbury, MD. – September 4, 2020 – Delmarva Veteran Builders (DVB), the region’s only commercial construction firm dedicated to bringing employment to U.S. Armed Forces Veterans, announced it will be launching a new tagline and campaign posters.

With almost a year in the making, Delmarva Veteran Builders will be launching their new tagline through a series of professionally designed campaign posters. Inspired by “America’s Greatest Generation”, Jenny Schroen, DVB’s graphic designer, created images which showcase the values and spirit of the company as it intertwines the attitude and mindset of veterans, the work ethic of the construction industry, and the professionalism of each team member.

The reason for the new tagline? DVB continues to challenge the status quo not only in the construction industry, but as a local company on Delmarva, and DVB thought it was time their tagline matched their efforts. The tagline is set to launch September 21, after the company celebrates Construction Appreciation Week, September 14-18.

To wrap up Construction Appreciation Week, Delmarva Veteran Builders will host a private launch party for their team. The marketing department has released teasers internally, and although the campaign features most DVB team members, they have not seen the finished products.

The Delmarva community can expect to see a much different landscape during morning commutes starting in late September, as the campaign posters will be heavily displayed on jobsites.

It is time for everyone to know what we have been up to.  We view this campaign as a way to celebrate people, our team, our service to customers, and our resolve to help lead our community. We all have a story to tell, and we know stories pull us together, keep us going, and help us all see that light at the end of the tunnel. Hope and resilience are foundations of DVB and we know we have to do our part to share this message.  I couldn’t be more excited to share this campaign with our friends and communities on Delmarva; we believe this truly captures the heart and spirit of our company.

Delmarva Veteran Builders hired for new viewing platform at Pickering Creek Audubon Center

Audubon_H_BLK_Pickering.jpg

Easton, Md. – July 27, 2020 – Delmarva Veteran Builders (DVB), the region’s only commercial construction firm dedicated to bringing employment to U.S. Armed Forces Veterans, announced it has been hired to construct a viewing platform for Pickering Creek Audubon Center in Easton, Maryland.

Pickering Creek Audubon Center is a 400-acre working farm and educational center open to the public 365 days a year. Home to over 200 bird species, Pickering Creek is a successful partnership between Audubon Maryland-DC and the Chesapeake Audubon Society, a chapter of the National Audubon Society.

The 900 square foot viewing platform with tower is an all wood construction project, with recycled PVC deck boards. Located roughly one mile through trails from the Center itself, the viewing platform will be handicap accessible to the first deck.

The new meadow and wildflower trail and viewing platform will highlight meadow and shrub meadow habitats at Pickering Creek Audubon Center. The platform will showcase the importance of large meadows as a habitat, giving users a clear view of the habitat. It will feature an interpretive panel that is 10 feet long by 2 feet wide which highlights the most important birds and wildflowers to be seen in this habitat. From the viewing platform the trail links to existing trails that go around an existing complex of shallow freshwater wetlands created through an earlier recreational trails project.

JAY DEPUTY

SAFETY CHAIRMAN

AUGUST 3RD - AUGUST 7TH

I've-got-your-back.jpg

Salisbury, Md. – August 3rd, 2020 – Delmarva Veteran Builders (DVB), the region’s only commercial construction firm dedicated to bringing employment to U.S. Armed Forces Veterans, announced its Safety Week Campaign, to bring awareness to the safety standard in construction.

Set to host two onsite trainings during the week of August 3-7, DVB has partnered with BBSI to continue education to its employees on safety standards. Currently, DVB holds safety training once a month, but believes by hosting an entire Safety Week, it will put added emphasis on safety in construction.

Safety is a word that’s heard a lot in our industry, but doesn’t get the attention it deserves. DVB is making the decision to spin the narrative into a positive, celebratory week to make it both educational and memorable. Proactively practicing safety binds our employees together- essentially, we’re telling one another that we literally have each other’s back. This collective mentality carries over to all of our job site interactions and reassures our loved ones that depend on us to come home each and every night.

BERLIN, Md. – June 17, 2020 – Delmarva Veteran Builders (DVB), the region’s only commercial construction firm dedicated to bringing employment to U.S. Armed Forces Veterans, announced it has been hired to construct the new 7-Eleven convenience store in Berlin, MD.

The new age designed building is set to break ground the first week of July and will be located on the corner of Route 50 East and Samuel Bowen Boulevard. The 4,600 square foot building will include a separate 800 square foot car wash.

It has been a real pleasure working with Core Acquisitions, a real estate development company based out of Chicago, IL, on the development of 7-Eleven in Berlin, MD. Nearly 50% of the U.S. population lives within 1 mile of a 7-Eleven and we are thrilled to be part of their continued growth.

For 93 years, 7-Eleven has been on the cutting edge of major trends across the convenience store industry. They were first to launch self-serve soda stations, the Iconic Big Gulp, 24/7 stores, coffee to go cups and self-serve gas pumps. Additionally, they have a growing list of new technological advances that will make your visit to a 7-Eleven faster and more customer friendly. This is an exciting time for their franchise, and we look forward to our continued relationship with 7-Eleven and Core Acquisitions.
