The Office of the Secretary of Defense, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve recognized Chris Eccleston of Delmarva Veteran Builders with the Patriotic Employer Award. The award was presented to Chris for contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.
The Patriot Award is the first in ESGR’s (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve) series of awards. The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support Citizen Warriors through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families and granting leaves of absence if needed.

Congratulations to Delmarva Veteran Builders for winning the Small Business of the Year award from the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce. The Small Business of the Year award is presented to a firm with a staff of five or less who have a substantiated record as an established business. The company has demonstrated growth in the last two years of operation, demonstrated an innovative approach to the market, and provides superior customer service.
Chris Eccleston of Delmarva Veteran Builders receives a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congressman Andy Harris at a Town Hall meeting in Salisbury, MD. A veteran himself, Chris was recognized for his dedicated service and efforts to employ and subcontract local veterans through his business - Delmarva Veteran Builders.
Delmarva Veteran Builders in partnership with Operation We Care sponsored a Red Roost Crab Feast for 64 Wounded Warriors and family members at the popular crabhouse in Quantico, MD Families from Richmond, Northern Virginia and the Baltimore area attended and a few had the opportunity to learn how to pick crabs at the event.
